The line runs from DataShop in 1993, through MyShop 2005 and the 2014 rebuild around e-commerce, to MyShop 8 in 2026. Not a relaunch each time — the same codebase, extended a function at a time because someone behind a real counter needed it. Roughly 300,000 lines of it now, in daily use in around a thousand stores.

Worth stating plainly: MyShop's fiscal layer is built for Italy. Mandatory business-to-business e-invoicing through the tax authority's exchange system, telematic fiscal recorders, and the banking-terminal protocol used by Italian acquirers are all handled natively.

That is the point rather than a caveat. Three decades of regulatory change absorbed into the product means the retailer never had to buy a bridge, a bolt-on or a second system — and it is a fair measure of how deep the engineering goes. The trading core underneath — stock, documents, customers, pricing, e-commerce — is not country-specific.
