The same MyShop that has stood behind Italian shop counters for thirty years — till, stock, documents, loyalty, e-commerce — running on our servers and opened from a browser: in the shop, at home, on the tablet by the counter. Nothing to install, nothing to update, nothing to back up at night. And the till prints real fiscal receipts on the shop's telematic cash register.
Why a cloud
MyShop Cloud is not a new program imitating the old one: it is the same engine. The classes that compute stock, write documents and synchronise the e-commerce are the desktop's own, moved as they are into a shared library and tested one against the other — the same 690 stock figures computed by both programs, identical to the cent.
The database is the same too: 232 tables, same columns, same names. That is why a MyShop shop moves to the cloud with its own backup and finds everything there — and why anyone coming from the desktop recognises every page: the till is their till, the product card is their card, the dashboard is their dashboard.
They are not rivals: they are two outfits on the same body, and they understand each other because they speak the same language.
The design
Most "web" retail systems look like websites. MyShop Cloud is a tiled dashboard like
MyShop 8, and every page mirrors the window it comes from: the till keeps its parked accounts, its categories, its
keypad with the grammar of thirty years (0,1 is a price,
3x a quantity); the product card keeps its tiles; prints open in the same tab.

learn anything.




On the phone too. The same pages, with no "app": the phone's browser is enough to check how the day is going, the statistics or the categories while you're out. Three of these four were taken by Nanni on his own phone, on 20 August.




The knot every cloud avoids
A cloud system has a problem installed ones don't: the program runs on a distant server, but the telematic cash register (Italy's fiscal printer) sits in the shop, on the local network. Who makes them talk? The browser — the only one standing in both rooms. The server prepares the receipt, the browser hands it to the Epson on the shop's LAN, and the answer — number, closure, outcome — goes back to the server, which writes it on the document. No helper program, no driver: a web page and a networked printer.
Prepares the receipt: lines, VAT departments, discounts, payments, tax code or lottery code.
Delivers it to the printer on the shop's network and brings back the answer.
Prints the commercial document, transmits it to the Revenue Agency, replies.
DOCUMENTO N. 0015-0001 and the cloud replied "receipt 0015-0001 printed on the register
and cashed". At 11:35, the first void, again from the browser: 0015-0002. Not a simulation: real,
transmitted fiscal documents.

The house speciality, here too
MyShop's synchronisation engine — the one that has kept shop and website aligned for years — runs inside the cloud, every thirty seconds, for every shop that switches it on. Change a price, add a product, fix a photo: the change queues up and the engine carries it to the site; the web order comes down as a document, the shipment goes back up. The Synchronisation page shows it all: the queue, the last run, the initial full-catalogue load, the "re-queue" buttons. The demo storefront is live at shopcloud.myshopweb.it, served by the cloud itself.

What's inside
Thirty-eight tiles on the dashboard. Not "the light edition": the desktop carried over page by page, and in a few places a step ahead — improvements born in the cloud go back to the desktop.
Every document type and reason of the desktop; Italian e-invoicing rebuilt on schema 1.2.3 with validation that tells you where to fix; received invoices, signed .p7m envelopes included.
Stock computed by the desktop's own class, movements per item, balancing between warehouses with transfer documents ready, reorder.
Multi-level kits with requirements, feasibility and one-click production; serials, lots and sizes with the extended barcode the till recognises by itself.
Sell-in and sell-out, sales diary, best and worst, item statistics comparing periods or shops on one chart; the owner's dashboard with comparisons and a traffic light per shop.
The month as a grid with a heat map of sales, offers, expiring loyalty, receivables and payables — layers that switch on together.
Customer records with cash book, due dates, open jobs; points, rewards, gift cards and vouchers read at the till by barcode.
Barcodes generated server-side as vector graphics: no fonts to install. Formats stored in the database, single sheets and lists.
Products, customers, suppliers and documents from .xlsx: mapping proposed from the headers, dry run before writing.

Like MyShop 8, the cloud was built as a pair: a software craftsman with thirty years of shops in his hands, and an AI (Claude, by Anthropic) as workshop companion. A few entries from the logbook.
Before a single page: the desktop's stock class compiled for the new runtime and run on the same archive from both worlds — 690 stock figures, two identical comparison files. The same day, the first Products page and the first run on the server.
Multi-shop decided in an afternoon: a control database, one database per customer, seats counted on live circuits. The licence is a row, not a key to hand over.
The last windows carried over, some a step ahead of the desktop; and the e-commerce synchronisation engine starting to run inside the cloud, every thirty seconds.
Published from home in an afternoon; the shop password at step one; in the evening, the decision on resellers.
At 9:58 the Epson's customer display lit up by itself with "MYSHOP CLOUD" and the date: the cloud had touched a piece of shop hardware for the first time. At 11:16 the first real receipt, 0015-0001; at 11:35 the first void.
